This collaboratory residency aims to open discussions and visual dialogue on the artists working process and to trial concepts of public interaction in an informal, open way. The PROOFSPACE model allows artists to play, test and share their ideas in an investigational rather than finite way over an extended period of time.

CAROLYN WIGSTON

These works explores ways of creating a 3-D anamorphic work from a 2-D painting. The works are very playful as the simplistic forms appear to bend and morph as viewed. These works interact with their immediate surroundings casting shadows onto the wall and reflecting objects and audience in their surface. These elements can be seen in the documented photographs. The works ask you to move beyond the surface and figurative ideas delving into more thought provoking exploration into abstraction and possibilities of 2-D art as a medium of play.
